Hello Returning VITA Volunteer! Thank you for coming back again this tax season. You are the backbone of the program, and we look forward to working with you again this year!
We’ve made some major changes to our training calendar for this year, and we hope you like them. You’ll notice a few differences:
- Way more choices! We’ve really increased the opportunities for you to attend a training that works with your schedule. The trainings are earlier and more frequent.
- Next Level. If you’ve always wanted to certify at the next level, we have new trainings specifically for that.
- Networking. We believe that networking and meeting other fellow volunteer is an important part of the volunteer experience, and so we are making that a focus in more of what we do.
- Easier testing. This year, computers will be available for you to come and use the TaxWise software to take your test and/or practice returns at your convenience. Our goal is for all volunteers to complete certification by January 16, 2010.
- Site Orientation. Every site will have one this year.
